Abstract | Describes a Virginia Western Community College two-year follow-up of its developmental mathematics students, revealing that Blacks and males enrolled in and failed developmental mathematics at significantly higher rates than Whites and females; female instructors had a higher pass rate; graduates were prepared for all college math courses except business mathematics.
